Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking, this allows your experience to start on time and enjoy the full time allocated.

There is a signed car park and there you will be greeted by your host Kirsty with the SnoutAbout trailer which will take you to Piggie Woods.

Upon arrival at the woods Kirsty will ask if you can use the allocated disinfectant foot pad and hand gels in order to prevent disease and keep the pigs safe.

FAQs

  • Please dress appropriately for the weather - jackets and extra layers can be left in the trailer if not required but better to be prepared than not prepared!

    Wellies or hiking boots are advised as the fields where the pigs live can be muddy and the walk is uneven in areas therefore footwear with a grip is encouraged.

  • NO, sorry dogs are not allowed at Piggie Woods as the can stress the pigs.

    • Dogs are NOT permitted at Piggie Woods.

    • You must have a booking.

    • Before entering Piggie Woods your host Kirsty will ask you to stand on a disinfectant matt to ensure their is no cross contamination for the welfare of our pigs. 

    • Please do not bring your own food as food is provided.

    • Pigs must only be fed with the food that is provided.

    • Please DO NOT smoke or vape around the pigs or in Piggie Woods.

    • Please keep your fingers away from the pigs mouths (they may think they are carrots.)

    • The ground can be uneven in the woods so please wear grippy soles.

    • This is an adult only experience, no children or non participants on site please.

    • Please carefully plan travel for punctual arrival.

  • Our experience days run on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

  • Our 5 star composting toilet is located in the designated Pig-Nic area which is halfway round the woodland walk.

  • Approximately 2 hours.

  • Free parking, seated covered tractor trailer ride, pig walking, woodland wellness, shelter, photo opportunity, toilet facilities, PIG-Nic of sweet treats and Tea Pig Teas, FUN!

  • No picnics please as food is provided. Please let SnoutAbout know about a dietary requirements in advance. 

  • We are situated just outside Dundee (Muirhead/Birkhill) following the road sign posted Lundie.

    There is plenty car parking spaces and Kirsty will be waiting with the SnoutAbout Trailer ready to greet you. 

  • Purchased vouchers are NON refundable.

    Should weather be averse, we will be in touch to reschedule or refund - if it's slightly rainy weather that's fine as there is shelter in the woods and the Pig-Nic Hut. However, if there are weather warnings we will reschedule.

    Vouchers must be used within the Season of year of Purchase (April -October)

    The welfare of the pigs is paramount.
